How to treat ovarian cysts correctly?

Patient's question:

Last year, I had an episode, and after checking at the hospital, I was prescribed medication. Both oral and internal use quickly controlled it, but recently I've started feeling uncomfortable again. Please ask: How is it correct to treat an ovarian cyst?

Doctor's answer:

Ovarian cysts can be physiological. Physiological cysts do not require surgery, while pathological cysts often need surgery for definitive diagnosis and additional treatment. For women of childbearing age, if an ovarian cyst is detected, the next course of action depends on the nature of the cyst. Ultrasound results are very helpful for diagnosis. If MRI indicates that the cyst is anechoic (without echoes) and non-segmented, it is advisable to wait and see for 3 months. After 3 months, a repeat MRI should be performed. If the cyst still exists, surgery should be considered for resolution.
