After humanity entered the new century and China entered a new stage of comprehensively building a moderately prosperous society and accelerating the construction of socialist modernization, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council formulated the "Opinions on Further Strengthening and Improving the Ideological and Moral Construction of Minors" (hereinafter referred to as "Opinions"), fully demonstrating the high importance attached to this strategic task concerning the future of the nation and the destiny of the Chinese nation by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with Comrade Hu Jintao as General Secretary.
Strengthening and improving the ideological and moral construction of minors is an important measure to cultivate qualified builders and successors of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics, ensuring the continuity of the Party and the state's cause. Building socialism with Chinese characteristics requires the unremitting efforts of generations. The current favorable situation of economic development, political stability, cultural prosperity, and social progress we enjoy today is the result of the hard work of several generations.
