How is fallopian tube blockage caused

Patient's question:

I got married not long ago and am currently trying to conceive. During the check-up, I found out that my fallopian tubes are blocked. The doctor said the chances of getting pregnant are very low. What should I do? Please ask: How do blocked fallopian tubes occur?

Doctor's answer:

Delivery is a very complex physiological process where sperm and egg combine to form a fertilized egg, which then implants in the uterine cavity. In addition to having normal sperm, eggs, and an appropriate intrauterine environment, it is also crucial for sperm and eggs to reunite and be successfully transported to the uterine cavity. This task is smoothly completed by the fallopian tubes. If the fallopian tubes are inflamed, leading to blockage and preventing sperm from meeting the egg, resulting in infertility, it is called tubal obstructive infertility.
The fallopian tubes are divided into four parts from the inside out: the isthmus, ampulla, infundibulum, and interstitial part. In clinical diagnosis, 80% of infertility cases are caused by tubal factors, leading to tubal blockage. This is often due to factors such as induced abortion, spontaneous abortion, medication-induced abortion, induced labor, unclean masturbation, and pelvic infection, which cause adhesions in the fallopian tube walls.
