How is hydrosalpinx treated?

Patient's question:

Recently, I've been feeling lower back pain and a heavy sensation in my lower abdomen. I'm not sure about going to the hospital for a check-up, but they said I have hydrosalpinx. Could you please tell me: How is hydrosalpinx treated?

Doctor's answer:

Hello. Patients with fallopian tube conditions primarily exhibit unilateral or bilateral lower abdominal pain, which can be relieved during the menstrual period or ovulation period. Intermittent vaginal discharge occurs, as the dilated and undilated parts of the fallopian tube can still be connected when there is fallopian tube hydrosalpinx, so patients often experience intermittent vaginal discharge. Some patients with fallopian tube hydrosalpinx may experience abnormal vaginal discharge again, with watery discharge being a common clinical diagnosis. Fallopian tube hydrosalpinx can not only lead to infertility and ectopic pregnancy but also, in severe cases, cause the fallopian tube to reverse again, resulting in hemorrhagic infarction and infertility, making it one of the causes of gynecological acute abdominal conditions.
