Features: This book is the sister volume of The 11th Baihua Award Anthology of Novel Selections. It includes 10 middle-length novels and 10 short stories by 19 authors. These works were selected for the "Baihua Award" through a voting process conducted by readers, based on the 155 middle-length novels and 150 short stories published in the journal from 2003 to 2004. This fully reflects the journal's consistent principle of awarding based entirely on reader preferences, as well as the массовость, breadth, and social recognition of the Novel Selections' "Baihua Award." Among the 19 shortlisted authors, there are seasoned literary figures, mid-career elites, and emerging young talents, forming a vibrant and spectacular gathering of three generations. Their works were only excluded due to the limitation of quantity. Notably, 5 of the 19 shortlisted authors' works were also awarded the "Baihua Award" this year.
The book follows the established editorial format, divided into two parts: Middle-Length Novels and Short Stories. The works in each section are arranged in order of the number of votes received. To help readers better understand the authors, we have included recent photos and brief biographies of the authors before each story.
