Can habitual miscarriage be cured?

Patient's question:

Got pregnant many times, but miscarried each time. I really want a child, but have been pregnant three times and each time it didn't take. The doctor said it's habitual miscarriage. This has had a big impact on both my body and mind. Can habitual miscarriage be cured?

Doctor's answer:

Recurrent miscarriage refers to the occurrence of three or more consecutive natural miscarriages. Each subsequent miscarriage often happens in the same early pregnancy month. The clinical manifestations of recurrent miscarriage are similar to those of general miscarriage, and it can progress through stages such as threatened miscarriage, inevitable miscarriage, incomplete or complete miscarriage. In the early stages, it may only present as slight vaginal bleeding or mild lower abdominal pain. The bleeding duration can last for several days or weeks, with relatively low blood volume. Once vaginal bleeding increases continuously, abdominal pain subsides, and a careful examination reveals that the cervical os has dilated, or even the fetal sac is obstructing the cervix, the miscarriage becomes inevitable. If all early pregnancy tissue is expelled, it is referred to as a complete miscarriage.
