What are the hazards of fallopian tube hydrops?

Patient's question:

Hydrosalpinx, I went to the hospital for a check-up, it's not very serious, but I've been feeling uncomfortable for a long time, and I haven't been able to get pregnant yet. Please ask: Is the harm of hydrosalpinx serious?

Doctor's answer:

Hydrosalpinx refers to the condition where the fallopian tube is infected by pathogens, leading to inflammation of the inner lining, edema of the stroma, and exudation. This results in the shedding of the fallopian tube mucosal epithelium. If the acute inflammation of the fallopian tube is not treated promptly and effectively, it can lead to hydrosalpinx. Long-term tubal ligation also increases the risk of developing hydrosalpinx. In some cases, hydrosalpinx is not caused by fallopian tube inflammation but rather occurs after a fallopian tube abortion procedure.
Additionally, during recurrent chronic fallopian tube inflammation, the fimbriae of the fallopian tube may become due to inflammation. The exudate and fluid within the fallopian tube lumen gradually accumulate, leading to chronic hydrosalpinx. Recurrent chronic hydrosalpinx often causes the fallopian tube to swell, with partial or complete self-locking of the fimbriae.
