How should we generally treat amenorrhea better?

Patient's question:

I am 41 years old today, and recently I have been experiencing recurring unexplained heat. My menstrual period hasn't come for over a month. Could you please advise on the best way to treat amenorrhea in general cases?

Doctor's answer:

The causes of amenorrhea can be divided into physiological and pathological types. The physiological causes of amenorrhea include: incomplete endocrine system, insufficient kidney qi, pregnancy; inability of the blood sea to be full during lactation, prolactin forcing an increase in the excretion of sex hormones; and factors such as the decline in ovarian function around the age of 50, leading to menopause. Pathological causes of amenorrhea are due to congenital defects in the lower segment of the reproductive organs, such as hymen atresia or postnatal adhesions, which prevent menstruation from flowing out, resulting in hidden menstruation or pseudomenorrhea.
