Patient's question:
I am three months pregnant now, but last year my baby stopped developing at four months and there was no fetal heartbeat. I am quite worried about this. What treatment is needed after a miscarriage?Doctor's answer:
If there has been a case of embryonic arrest, thorough examinations related to this issue are required before conceiving again. The following items need to be carefully checked:1. A detailed examination of male sperm motility and morphology;
2. Female preconception screening (four or six items);
3. A comprehensive autoimmune test (including anti-sperm antibodies, anti-endometrial antibodies, anti-human chorionic gonadotropin antibodies, and anti-cardiolipin antibodies);
4. A routine examination of leukorrhea to screen for trichomoniasis, candidiasis, mycoplasma, chlamydia infections, vaginal inflammation, etc.;
5. Follicle monitoring via ultrasound;
6. ABO hemolytic and Rh blood group antigen system examination (targeting women with O blood type, husbands with A or B blood type, or those with a history of unexplained miscarriage);
7. Chromosome examinations for both partners, among other tests.
