What are the post-ovarian cyst surgery precautions?

Patient's question:

I am 47 years old this year, and I am currently experiencing vaginal bleeding and lower abdominal pain. Please ask: What are the precautions after an ovarian cyst surgery?

Doctor's answer:

Postoperative Care:
1. Wound Care:
Typically, laparoscopic incisions are 1 cm long at the navel, and 0.5 cm long on each side of the lower abdomen. After surgery, a 1 cm incision is usually treated with simple debridement. During this process, absorbable or non-absorbable sutures may be used. If non-absorbable sutures are used for debridement, they should be removed seven days post-surgery. If absorbable sutures are used, they do not need to be removed.
As for the 0.5 cm incisions, they can be closed with breathable adhesive tape. However, sometimes stitches or simple debridement may be used to enhance the neatness of wound healing.
When caring for these wounds, it is important to keep the wound clean and dry. Bathing or getting the wound wet is only allowed after it has fully healed (approximately ten days).
