Is it accurate to determine the gender of a baby by feeling the pulse during pregnancy?

Patient's question:

I am a female, 25 years old, and three months pregnant. I want to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl. Is it accurate to determine the gender of the baby by feeling the pulse during pregnancy?

Doctor's answer:

Hello, pulse-taking to determine the gender of the baby is not allowed. Currently, the gender test for the fetus during pregnancy is usually done through an ultrasound. The period of fetal gender differentiation is between 9 to 12 weeks of pregnancy. An ultrasound can be performed carefully around the third month or later of early pregnancy, but the accuracy cannot exceed 100%.
Additionally, after the third month of early pregnancy, when the placenta is formed, amniotic fluid can reappear. DNA testing of the amniotic fluid can preliminarily determine the gender of the fetus. Alternatively, a chromosome test can be conducted.
