Features: Shaolin Kung Fu originated from the Shaolin Temple. Although it is widespread across China, the Shaolin Zhenshan Quan (Shaolin Mountain-Suppressing Fist) described in The Ten Paths of Shaolin Zhenshan Quan has been long popular in the regions of Shandong, Jiangsu, Henan, and Anhui, especially in southern Shandong (Linyi, Tancheng, Cangshan, Zaozhuang) and northern Jiangsu. The style of the Shaolin Zhenshan Quan practiced in this system is distinct from other Shaolin external martial arts. In the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, the renowned martial artist Yang Xiushan (28th generation of Shaolin Kung Fu) taught at the Yi Prefecture (the old name of Linyi) Guoshu Hall. After the war, he widely taught in rural areas of Linyi, Tancheng, Cangshan, and Zaozhuang. His disciples, such as Song Deju, Zhang Rusong, He Xiukui, Wu Shumei, Guo Qingfang, Guo Mingtang, Guo Mingyang, Yang Baode, Sha Yunjin, and Yu Huailong, passed down the tradition to this day. The Shaolin Ten Paths of Zhenshan Quan introduced in this book is a representative routine in Shaolin martial arts and one of the most widespread and influential martial arts schools in China. For this reason, the book has been organized and compiled.
