Monthly baby breast milk volume standard

Patient's question:

The baby is almost a month old now, and they are currently drinking 60ML of formula each time. I'm wondering how much should they be eating after the full moon, and whether it's necessary to increase the amount of milk.

Doctor's answer:

Every child's appetite is different, so there is no uniform standard. Moreover, the number of meals they eat each day also varies. Generally, as children grow older, the amount they consume gradually increases. You can start by adding a small amount and observe how the child responds. Typically, after multiple attempts, you can roughly determine the appropriate amount.
Throughout the day, the child's intake of milk is reduced from three meals to two meals, with each meal being 250 milliliters, still following the schedule of eating every four hours. The other meals should consist entirely of complementary foods. Water should be offered between each milk meal.
