How to make postpartum rice wine?

Patient's question:

My wife is about to give birth, and I heard that women need to eat postpartum rice wine during the postpartum period. Could you please tell me how to make this postpartum rice wine?

Doctor's answer:

1 Drain the soaked brown rice and pour it into a rice cooker to cook.
2 Pour the cooked rice into a large winnowing basket and spread it out to cool.
3 Crush the rice wine starter into a powder in a bowl. Once the rice has cooled completely, sprinkle it over the rice and mix it thoroughly.
4 Place the rice, which has been fully mixed with the rice wine starter, into a jar. Press it down firmly, then create a well in the center. Observe the fermentation process, and after that, cover the jar opening with a clean towel. Wrap the jar in a blanket.
5 At the current temperature, it will typically start to produce alcohol after 24 hours. At that time, you can remove the towel and listen to the sounds inside the jar with your ear—there will usually be a "sizzling" sound during fermentation.
6 Once alcohol production is confirmed, still cover the towel and let it sit for another 2 days. Then, pour high-proof liquor to soak it.
