Difference between early blastocyst and blastocyst

Patient's question:

For some reasons, I need to do IVF. I heard there are early blastocysts and blastocysts. What are the differences between early blastocysts and blastocysts?

Doctor's answer:

The blastocyst is not very stable in terms of morphology and structure because it forms relatively quickly. This is because the blastocyst contains a small number of cells, meaning it is composed of very few cells. Early blastocysts are relatively more stable, as they are composed of many cells, sometimes as many as over a hundred, so they tend to be more stable. The fertilized egg formed through in vitro fertilization develops for two to three days, and this stage is called the embryo. The blastocyst stage primarily involves cultivating the fertilized egg until it forms on day five or six, so there is a difference in the formation time between the embryo and the blastocyst.
