Is it harmful for adults to drink breast milk?

Patient's question:

Just had a baby, but my nipples are too big, and the baby can't eat. I use a breast pump to express the milk into a bottle and feed the baby. I'd like to ask if adults drinking breast milk has any effects?

Doctor's answer:

Breast milk is for the nutrition of infants, and it won't do any harm if adults eat it. Cow's milk is beneficial, let alone human milk, which is even better. Breast milk is produced by the body after childbirth to provide nutrition for newborns, ensuring their nutritional needs. It doesn't make much sense for adults to consume it, so it's better to get nutrients from food. Breast milk has high nutritional value, and adults, with better absorption capabilities, naturally benefit from it.
