What time can I do a B check to see if it's an ectopic pregnancy?

Patient's question:

Female, 25 years old. I'm not sure if I'm pregnant. My period hasn't come for a while, and it started bleeding irregularly. The blood is very dark, and my lower abdomen always feels painful. Could this be an ectopic pregnancy? If so, please ask: When can I have an ultrasound to check for ectopic pregnancy?

Doctor's answer:

6 to 7 weeks, an ultrasound can be performed to determine if the fetus is inside the uterus or ectopic. If you feel abdominal pain, it is the main symptom of ectopic pregnancy, oftensudden, sharp or intermittent pain on one side of the lower abdomen, accompanied by nausea, vomiting, lower abdominal heaviness, a sense of needing to defecate, sometimes severe pain, and cold sweat. When you experience the above abdominal pain symptoms, do not simply assume it is just a gastrointestinal issue. You should also be aware that it could be a symptom of ectopic pregnancy.
