Patient's question:
Female, 25. Recently, there have always been uncomfortable conditions, and gradually, they have become increasingly uncomfortable. Please ask: How can one determine if leukorrhea is normal?Doctor's answer:
Normal discharge is typically present before and after menstruation, except during ovulation, when the amount of discharge may increase. It may also increase after early pregnancy. Normal discharge is usually colorless, translucent, or milky white, with a consistency that is neither too thin nor too thick and has no odor. If the discharge is too little, it may indicate a lack of cervical fluid, or in some cases, such as with older individuals, the amount of discharge may significantly increase. If the discharge increases abnormally, more noticeably than under normal circumstances, and is accompanied by abnormal color, texture, or odor, such as turning yellow, yellow-green, or blue-green, or appearing purulent, or having a strong foul odor, this often suggests the presence of vaginitis.
