Patient's question:
Female, 37 years old, recently always feeling bloated in the lower abdomen, lower back pain, and later found a lump, so she quickly went to the hospital for examination. The hospital diagnosed cervical erosion. What should be paid attention to after cervical erosion surgery?Doctor's answer:
After cervical erosion surgery, please follow these precautions:1. Always keep the external genitalia clean and change underwear and sanitary pads frequently.
2. Rest appropriately after the surgery. Avoid overtime work and heavy physical labor.
3. In the first week after surgery, there may be a small amount of pale yellow vaginal discharge, which may vary in quantity and be accompanied by a slight odor and mild lower abdominal discomfort. In the second week, the healing process begins, and there may be minimal peeling, which is a normal part of the treatment. If the peeling area becomes slightly larger or deeper, the amount of bleeding may increase. If the bleeding exceeds the amount of your menstrual period, seek medical attention promptly to control the bleeding and adjust medication. After treatment, there may be a small amount of vaginal bleeding that lasts for about 2 to 5 weeks.
4. For the first 3 months after surgery, strictly avoid sexual intercourse, swimming, and tub baths. Avoid overexertion, and do not consume alcohol, spicy foods, or blood-activating and blood-stagnation drugs to prevent further peeling or infection.
