7. Read narrative works and summarize the main events, briefly describe the most memorable scenes, characters, and details, and express their likes, dislikes, admiration, aspirations, and empathy. Read poems to grasp the general meaning, imagine the scenarios described, and feel the poet's emotions, being inspired and motivated by excellent works to pursue beautiful ideals.
8. Learn to skim to broaden knowledge and gather information as needed.
9. In understanding texts, recognize the different uses of commas, semicolons, and periods.
10. Recite excellent poems and articles, paying attention to the content and emotions of the works through their tones, rhythms, etc. Memorize 60 excellent poems and passages.
11. Use libraries, the internet, and other information channels to try exploratory reading. Expand reading horizons, with a total of no less than 1 million words of extracurricular reading.
This series emphasizes the understanding and mastery of basic concepts and principles; focuses on training in basic knowledge and skills, closely addressing key and difficult points, comprehensively applying foundational knowledge, and cultivating students' analytical and thinking abilities to comprehensively improve their reading skills.
