Features: The Interior Design Branch of the China Institute of Architectural Design is the only academic organization for interior design in China. The mission of the branch is to: safeguard the rights and interests of interior designers, explore the laws of interior design creation, understand the trends of global interior design development, and promote international and domestic academic exchanges. The branch has achieved fruitful results in interior design creation. Chinese interior design is moving towards maturity, and more and more active Chinese voices are being heard on the international stage of interior design. However, we must also acknowledge that there is a gap between our theoretical research in interior design and design creation, which is still relatively weak. To promote theoretical research in Chinese interior design, the Executive Meeting of the Branch President decided that starting this year, we will review the annual conference papers and award excellence in the form of honors.
