Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State - Engels

Author: Engels
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2005-04-01
Features: Since the publication of The Collected Works of Marx and Engels, The Collected Works of Lenin, Selected Works of Marx and Engels, and Selected Works of Lenin, readers have urgently demanded the publication of individual volumes of Marxist and Leninist works. This reflects their strong desire to study Marxism-Leninism and their diverse needs for these works. To meet this demand, we have decided to compile and publish a series of Marxist and Leninist works, titled The Marx-Engels-Lenin Library. This library collects important works of the classic Marxist and Leninist writers and publishes them in individual volumes. Works that can stand alone as books are published as separate volumes, while some important articles and letters are compiled into thematic collections. Certain works also include appendices, featuring the author's relevant writings and materials directly related to the book. To assist readers in their study and research, each book includes "Notes" and "Name Index" after the main text, and some works also feature "Subject Index." The translations and materials are based on the new editions of the Collected Works and Selected Works. For works that do not yet have new editions, the translations are revised according to the requirements of the new editions, and the materials are compiled accordingly. This library, when used in conjunction with the Collected Works and Selected Works, can meet the diverse needs of readers. Theoreticians, educators, publicity workers, cadres at all levels, university students, and other readers can select the works they need from this library or systematically collect them. We hope that the publication of this library will promote the study and research of Marxism across the country, help cadres use the Marxist stance, viewpoint, and methods to study and solve new problems in the construction of socialist modernization, and contribute to the development of socialist material and spiritual civilization.
