God in Creation -- Ecological Creationism

Author: (German) Moltmann & Hu Renlian
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2002-11-01
Features: In this book, Moltmann points out that the struggle against the ecological crisis is forcing people to reflect on old Christian theology and move towards a new creation theology. The author first proposes some basic concepts for creation theology, the most important of which is the theory of the Holy Spirit of God in the theology of the universe. The Holy Spirit dwells within the world, while the world dwells within God. The harmonious relationship between the Holy Spirit of the universe and the world becomes the theological foundation for re-evaluating the value of all created beings in time, space, heaven and earth, and the ecological community. In this context, the latter part of the book introduces an ecological anthropology. The final chapter restores the doctrine of the Sabbath as a day of creation's rest and views it as God's goal in human history.
