Features: This book is primarily designed to lay the groundwork and prepare for discussing unique educational issues. It places art within the broader context of culture and describes various popular attitudes toward art from historical, cultural, and philosophical perspectives. Unlike previous approaches, in the discussion, I strive to connect specialized reflections on aesthetic education more closely with critical debates in the larger social environment. Chapter 2 primarily places the discussion of art within a philosophical framework, incorporating a significant amount of modern aesthetic theory to explain the various valuable experiences that art can provide. This chapter introduces two of the three main concepts addressed in the book: artwork and aesthetic experience. Chapters 3, 4, and 5 then discuss the third main concept of the book: art criticism. After presenting the main theoretical interpretations of the book's central issues, starting from Chapter 6, various course designs for entering the world of art or teaching art effectively are illustrated. Chapters 7 and 8 primarily examine some long-standing debates in the field of art education. At the end of the book, three supplementary essays are also included. The aesthetic education theory proposed in this book aims to meet the needs of today's society, culture, and education. It discusses and demonstrates how to guide aesthetic education practice through effective methods, ensuring it operates on a reasonable track.
