Features: The central focus of aesthetic psychology is the aesthetic experience. So, what is the aesthetic experience? What are its composition and characteristics? How does it arise and develop? What kind of psychological attitude gives rise to it? Aesthetic experience refers to the pleasant psychological experience that people have when appreciating beautiful nature, artworks, and other human products. This psychological experience is the result of communication or interaction between a person's inner psychological life and the aesthetic object. Aesthetic experience generally has the following six characteristics:
1. It is an extremely pleasant experience obtained through viewing and listening. This pleasure is so intense that it makes people forget all worries and focus solely on the object before them.
2. This experience can disrupt willpower, rendering it ineffective, as if people are intoxicated by the beauty of the sirens.
3. This experience has varying degrees of intensity, and even if it is too strong or excessive, it does not cause annoyance.
4. This pleasant experience is unique to humans. While other organisms also have their own forms of pleasure, those pleasures stem from olfactory or gustatory senses. In contrast, human aesthetic pleasure originates from the harmony perceived through vision and hearing.
5. Although this experience arises from the senses, it cannot be solely attributed to sensory acuity.
6. This pleasure comes directly from the perception of the object itself, rather than from the associations it evokes.
