Features: Professor Zhong Huilan organized the writing of the book "Tropical Medicine" during his lifetime. It is the first large-scale comprehensive monograph on tropical medicine in China. Since its publication in 1986, it has been widely welcomed and praised by scholars and experts both domestically and internationally, especially in Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. Therefore, we have invited renowned experts from China to revise the first edition of this book and add new diseases and travel medicine, in order to as much as possible include the latest developments in tropical medicine both domestically and internationally, meeting the needs of prevention and treatment under the current reform and opening-up. To commemorate the great contributions of our beloved mentor, Academician Zhong Huilan, to tropical medicine in China, the second edition of this book will retain the style of the first edition, expressing our deep sorrow for the late Academician Zhong Huilan and inheriting and carrying forward the academic thoughts of Academician Zhong Huilan.
