Life is like a chess game—hold a calm heart amidst the uncertainties of life, watch the clouds gather and disperse, flowers bloom and fade. Unconsciously, these beautiful Chinese characters, the profound emotions hidden in ordinary matters, flow through our minds like the passage of time. Perhaps what we need is just this feeling. Reading is an enjoyment—enjoying the sunshine, its brightness; enjoying the air, its freshness; enjoying the trials, their depth. Reading is a sentiment—attending to nature, yearning to listen, embracing life, delving into the heart. Reading is a happiness—small grass and towering trees in nature, joys and waves in humanity—all will spark love, overflow with emotion, reveal laughter’s comfort, and the bitterness of sorrow. Zhuangzi’s transcendence, Tao Yuan’s seclusion, Yue Fei’s heroic spirit, Lu Yao’s determination—all will give you a clear heart, a peaceful heart, a full heart, and an upward heart. Reading makes you like the wind, sweeping across mountains and rivers, the Yellow River, the Huangshan Mountains, the Yangtze River, the Great Wall; it makes you like a swallow, soaring over the green, blue, and yellow homes, experiencing Xishuangbanna and Daxing’anling, listening to the Yarlung Tsangpo and Himalayas. Open the door to wisdom and strength, kiss the rose with fresh dew, its faint fragrance! Embrace the life tree that sparkles with the fire of wisdom and is full of youthful vitality!
