Features: This is a newly designed English-Chinese dictionary that vividly illustrates each word with a cartoon image. Its content is primarily focused on nouns, supplemented by some verbs, prepositions, and adjectives. Arranged in alphabetical order, every word is accompanied by International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) symbols, Chinese definitions, Chinese-English example sentences, and a cartoon image created based on each example sentence. The dictionary contains over 1,200 entries. This "Illustrated Children's English-Chinese Dictionary" includes more than 1,200 entries, which is the foundation of English learning. The usage of the dictionary is as follows:
(1) Read page by page: Read several pages each day. If you don’t understand, you can ask teachers or parents for help, or children can help each other.
(2) Practice sentences with audio: First, follow along, then memorize as many sentences as possible. Once the example sentences are memorized, the words provided will also be remembered.
(3) Memorize word spellings: First, learn to spell the words in the book. Then, write sentences and repeatedly copy the example sentences.
(4) Make flashcards with thick paper (or simply cut cardboard into squares): Write the word on the front and the Chinese meaning on the back. The flashcards can be made by parents, or it’s better for children to write them themselves. Children can use the flashcards for review (first from English to Chinese, then from Chinese to English). Parents can use the flashcards to teach their children. You can also write the example sentences on them. With this dictionary, in the next one or two years, you can lay a solid foundation in English for your child, creating favorable conditions for future learning.
