This volume is the second part of the Etude Collection in the "Cello Teaching Course." After a few low-position comprehensive etudes, the study of thumb position begins. The content of this volume is arranged in the order of several commonly used thumb positions for the left hand. The various technical topics for the right hand are adjusted according to the progress of the exercises, sometimes alternating between them, sometimes focusing on single bowing techniques, and sometimes combining them, all coordinated with the left-hand thumb position exercises. Teachers can also make appropriate adjustments to certain parts of this course based on the individual needs of students, such as learning some thumb position etudes earlier or selecting fewer types of etudes for some students. This volume can be used in conjunction with the second volume of the Piece Collection in this course.
