Features: What is "Spiritual Literature"? It is very difficult to answer, because "spiritual" itself is something of the mind and spiritual world, it has a mystical color, and it is quite difficult to define it with theory, just like the saying of Laozi and Zhuangzi, "Great words are rare and faint." It's better not to say it, but once you do, you lose many things, just like "forgetting the raft after getting the meaning of the words." However, for the sake of better understanding, we sometimes have to say it, have to define it. In my opinion, the core content of "Spiritual Literature" has the following necessary conditions: The atmosphere of heaven and earth is a characteristic of the hundred years of Chinese spiritual prose. The flexible and free narrative style is the second characteristic of the hundred years of spiritual prose. The ethereal artistic conception and exquisite language are the third characteristic of the hundred years of spiritual prose. Of course, spiritual prose should also have other characteristics, such as having personal views, individuality, leisure, tranquility, transcendence, and realm. The hundred years of Chinese spiritual prose is an undeniable historical existence, and it has considerable value in many aspects. Summarizing it, there is the atmosphere of heaven and earth. Many of our articles are "human" literature, full of too much "vitality" and "human principles," but lacking the "atmosphere of heaven and earth." It is impossible to produce "Spiritual Literature," because "spiritual" and "Spiritual Literature" are both nurtured by the essence of heaven and earth. Humans are originally "spiritual," but because humans overemphasize the so-called "cultural and moral principles" and ignore the way of heaven and earth, humans cannot help but be alienated. In the overall framework of the hundred years of Chinese new literature, we see more of the solid, heavy, and combative literature, which is the theme of the century; but on the other hand, a stream of "Spiritual Literature" has been flowing like tears for a long time, hidden among the mountains, covered under the pine forests and fallen leaves, and some are still between the rocks on the earth. It has always been ignored by us. Compared to other literary forms, the "Spiritual Literature" of the 20th century is a literature full of dreams, flying with the blue sky and white clouds. And in "Spiritual Literature," "Spiritual Prose" is the most dazzling flame.
