Features: This book is a collection of works by Argentine comic artist Modillo. The complete set consists of ten volumes. Modillo's comics possess a distinct artistic personality and unique style. His works are vibrant in color, showcasing a magical and dreamlike world. The ultra-spacetime and surreal imagination in his comics infuse a rich romantic atmosphere into the humorous essence of his art. Additionally, Modillo's comics carry profound philosophical depth. He believes that humans should live together in peace and happiness without any barriers, and the wordless comic format transcends language obstacles, clearly reflecting his ideological stance. Modillo's illustrations feature smooth lines and bright, elegant colors. His main characters, whether human or animal, have round, humorous, and adorable appearances, complemented by exaggerated large noses, which is no wonder why they are so beloved. The master of silent comedy, Marcel Marceau, once described appreciating Modillo's paintings as if watching a tightly paced movie, with unexpected surprises coming one after another. Many unforeseen wonders and absurd logic are tightly intertwined. Modillo said, "Humans believe in their future, despite the difficulties, they always find ways to overcome them. For me, this is the strength of human nature. It is through this that humans develop a strong willpower, allowing them to live creatively." Modillo is indeed a creator who is always searching, always trying, and constantly challenging himself. He observes life not just with his eyes but also with his heart. Like the pitiful, absurd, and laughable characters in his works. Although they bear witness to the cruelty and foolishness of humanity before us, on the other hand? Behind the cruelty and foolishness, isn't Modillo also reshaping humanity's noble ideals and expectations for life? Thank you to the master of dark humor, Modillo, for warming our hearts with humor and cleansing our minds with darkness.
