Features: I first heard about Zhao Jiabao from a group of photography enthusiasts. They said there was an ancient castle in Zhangpu County, Southern Fujian, inhabited by descendants of the royal family from the late Song Dynasty. Those princes and princesses were rolling around in the mud with runny noses. Later, another photography friend brought back some photos from Zhao Jiabao. He had a unique idea of only photographing the doors and windows inside the castle, and his imagination began to run wild. He might have visited Zhao Jiabao during the rainy season. In his photos, the moss on the gaps of the stone steps and the collapsed corners of the walls was playfully green. Even more unsettling was the thin, tender green of the grass growing under the window sills and the vines on the window frames, as delicate as an infant's skin. Who knows which influenced whom—photos always say, "People desire what they lack." The royal family had become commoners, naturally lacking in fortune. When we stood under the eaves of Zhao Jiabao to escape the summer heat, we discovered that the character "Fú" (fortune) under the window frames was still vividly bright.
