Li Kai secures a scholarship from the University of Michigan in the United States, but his visa is rejected. Meanwhile, Li Kai's undergraduate classmate Wang Jianping returns from the United States, and Yang Xueqing marries Wang Jianping in a flash and heads to the United States. Li Kai continues to apply for scholarships and finally obtains his visa. At the Capital Airport, Li Kai coincidentally meets Chen Ying. Chen Ying is also heading to the University of Michigan. The plane takes off, and the two gaze at each other in silence, tears streaming down their faces, filled with immense helplessness and lament.
