Features: The Walnut Mountain, The Chestnut Valley, The Jujube Forest: This small animal trilogy of love forms a complete natural ecological environment with mountains, forests, and valleys. From here, we can hear the wind whistling through the valleys and forests, coming through the deep grass; we can hear the call from the heart of a fairy-tale writer about "land ethics" and "ecological conscience." It is a work full of childlike charm and love. The abundant and apt metaphors, like musical notes, weave a melody; like brushes, they paint colorful scenes—unconsciously leading readers into the vibrant world of nature. What is particularly moving is the simple yet transparent and profound text. Due to a flood, the newborn monkey Lingling gets separated from her parents and, in her life of wandering with her grandmother, receives love and help from everyone, becomes a gymnastic champion, makes good friends, and finally reunites with her parents after overcoming difficulties.
Author's Quote: "True love in the world is most precious, and animals with a spirit understand."
