Features: This book is based on a short story from Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio, telling the story of a scholar who dreams of becoming a deity and goes to Laoshan Mountain to learn Taoism. After mastering a bit of wall-passing magic, he plans to use it for theft, but ends up with a head full of boils. The art director of this film, Cheng Zhi, is a well-known veteran artist, and needs no introduction. The other Mr. Liu Yilong is a famous Kunqu Opera Wenchou (), a type of clownish role. The scholar, for example, sings "I flee to the heavens!" while running away from chopping wood, and later boasts to his wife, "Through the wall, I go through the wall, take and run!" and other Kunqu Opera arias were all directed by Liu Yilong. The entire book is filled with humor and wit, with one classic scene being the learning of wall-passing magic and the moonlit dance with Chang'e, where clumsy wooden puppets bring the myth to life.
