Features: This book comes with a set of cards and one audio cassette. "Cambridge English Cards" is the core of the "1-1-1 Happy Cambridge" English learning system, developed by teachers of Beijing Vision School through practical experience. They are an excellent English learning method that can be used alongside the audio cassette and sentence book. Originating from fun teaching, these cards are suitable for parents and children to play together, as well as for children to play alone, serving both the purpose of playing cards and fun learning! Parents should fully recognize the significant role of fun in children's English learning. The goal of playing English cards is to abandon traditional rote memorization and introduce enjoyable, child-friendly game-based learning methods into the early stages of English learning, addressing the major difficulties children face in learning English—mastering basic vocabulary and sentence patterns! It is particularly noteworthy that when playing English cards, children must say the words and sentences aloud, transforming silent, general-purpose card play into loud, special-purpose play! Whether used alone or alongside textbooks, frequent play of English cards can achieve twice the result with half the effort!
Fun Play Methods and Their Effects: Greatly improve memory for words and sentences!
1. Chain Play: Suitable for learning words. Can be played by two or more people. Each card has a letter on the card label, with A being the smallest and Z being the largest, followed by the 26 letters in order. After shuffling, players take turns picking cards and placing them in order of size. The first to finish all their cards wins. When playing, read the English word on the card while placing it. Cards with words you cannot read cannot be played. (High Difficulty) Read both the English word and the Chinese meaning while playing. (Highest Difficulty) The first player reads only the English word, but subsequent players must say the Chinese meaning of the previous card before reading their own English word. Continue in this manner. (Other) Letter Chain Play, suitable for young children learning the 26 English letters. Only read the English letter on the card label while playing. Cards with letters you cannot read cannot be played.
2. Pair Play: Suitable for learning words. Can be played by two or more people. Cards with the same letter as the card label are played as pairs. The order of size is the same as when playing single cards. The player with the fewest remaining cards wins. When playing, read two English words in a row before playing. Cards with words you cannot read cannot be played. (High Difficulty) Read both the English word and the Chinese meaning while playing.
3. Three-in-a-Row Play: Suitable for learning words. Three consecutive cards with the same letter can be played as a "sequence." For example, ABC is smaller than BCD, and EFG is smaller than MNO, and so on. When playing, still read the English words on the cards. Cards with words you cannot read cannot be played.
4. Comprehensive Play: Suitable for learning words. Combine the first three play methods and play the English cards like playing poker. Other poker play methods can also be appropriately adapted, as long as English words are read while playing. Students can be creative.
5. Sentence Chain Play: Suitable for learning sentences. The play method is the same as other chain play methods, but the cards read are sentences. Cards with sentences you cannot read cannot be played. When playing, follow the principle of starting easy and gradually increasing difficulty. Begin by learning words, and flexibly change the play methods. Once words are read fluently, move on to sentences.
Note: Due to the large number of cards, you can take one section from the box each time. After using three sections, reshuffle and divide the cards again.
