Features: It's been so many years since then, but poor Charlie Brown still hasn't been able to fly his kite—despite how much he loves the sport. Time and again, either the tree "eats" the kite or the string wraps him up in a bundle, leading the sharp-tongued Lucy to rename it "string-wrapping." In stark contrast to Charlie Brown's obsession with kites and baseball is Snoopy's diverse and ever-changing sports interests. He's frequently seen on golf courses or football fields, and he nearly becomes a tennis pro who can use spells. With the addition of Woodstock, his enthusiasm for playing basketball also skyrockets—because Woodstock's nest is indeed a natural hoop. The race activity that once accompanied the theft of Linus's blanket has gradually evolved into a long-distance run chasing cars. Among these dazzling sports, the most appealing one might be fishing from the doghouse. Otherwise, why would Linus and the others eagerly put fish notes into the puppy's food bowl? And the most unsuccessful one is Snoopy's unique sit-up exercise, which he invented by using the shape of the doghouse. The little dog, who often falls to the ground, admits that this "newly invented gymnastics," if done 50 times a day, is very beneficial to health but can easily destroy the entire body.
