Features: Popeye the Penguin is an excellent humorous novel. It received rave reviews upon its publication and continues to accompany generations of children in their joyful growth. Although written in 1938, it still resonates with readers today. The world's worst penguin—Colonel Cook—brings "upheaval" to Mr. Popeye's life. The painter Mr. Popeye and his family live in the tranquil town of Quiet Water. He always dreamed of exploring the poles, but he had never left his hometown. He had a comical and majestic penguin from Antarctica, Colonel Cook, as his companion. One day, Colonel Cook fell ill, and the helpless Mr. Popeye had no choice but to seek help from the aquarium. To his surprise, the response he received was from a penguin there—Greta! Now, Mr. Popeye's household has two penguins, which quickly increased to twelve. Feeding these hungry little creatures was a real challenge for the Popeye family. Since Mr. Popeye had no job during the winter, and the live fish the penguins needed were so expensive, plus the need to pay for the large refrigeration unit in the basement, they were in a real bind. Later, they discovered that this group of little penguins were natural performers! To solve the family's financial crisis, Mr. Popeye decided to take them to perform at a theater! Mrs. Popeye even became their musician! With the family's seamless cooperation, the "Popeye Performing Penguins" became a sensation along the East and West Coasts of the United States. In no time, it was early April, and the warming weather left the penguins quite confused. However, Mr. Popeye had already found the perfect home for them.
