Features: This textbook strives to reflect new educational philosophies, new linguistic perspectives, and foreign language learning views, with language practice as the main thread. It emphasizes the communicative and instrumental nature of language, aiming to cultivate students' ability to communicate in English as the ultimate goal, while also fostering their interest in learning. The content is designed to progress from simple to complex, in a step-by-step manner, with clear focus and well-distributed difficult points. Vocabulary is appropriately distributed and repeated, and language materials such as sentence patterns and texts are selected and arranged based on students' physical and mental characteristics, cognitive levels, and language proficiency. The textbook system also emphasizes rigorous training in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, as well as the comprehensive development of language skills.
This "Activity Book" is a companion to the main textbook of "Primary School English." Drawing on some interesting and successful activities commonly used in primary schools both domestically and internationally, we have carefully designed activities for each lesson in every main textbook that children will enjoy.
1A-2B mainly include activities such as drawing based on listening, coloring, circling images, numbering, matching exercises, etc. 3A-6B mainly include various fun reading, writing, and hands-on activities. The purpose of writing this book is to further stimulate primary school students' interest in learning English, cultivate their comprehensive qualities, and help them better understand, consolidate, and expand the content taught in the main textbook. These diverse activities fully cater to primary school students' preference for speaking, doing, and thinking, allowing them to learn English in a relaxed and enjoyable way through listening, speaking, singing, and movement.
This book is intended for use in the second semester of primary school. It is divided into 5 units, with 7 lessons per unit, totaling 35 lessons. The last lesson of each unit is a comprehensive exercise designed to assess students' mastery of the unit's content.
