Features: International Investment is a national-level planning textbook for general higher education under the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" arranged by the Ministry of Education (No. [2002] 144 of the General Office of the Ministry of Education). Professor Yang Dakai, doctoral supervisor at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, serves as the editor-in-chief of the book, with Dr. Liu Qingsheng and Dr. Jiang Ping as deputy editors-in-chief. Prior to this, we completed two tasks of building key textbooks for general higher education under the "Ninth Five-Year Plan" commissioned by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the People's Bank of China, in 1998 and 2000, respectively. Subsequently, we undertook and completed two research projects on international investment under the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Social Science Foundation of China, as well as three key research projects on international investment under the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Shanghai Municipal Philosophy and Social Sciences Foundation. These accumulations have laid a solid foundation for us to write this national-level planning textbook. Therefore, compared to the International Investment published in 1998 and 2000, this book can also be considered the third edition of International Investment. Similarly, this textbook is primarily intended for undergraduate and junior college teaching in economics, management, and science and engineering disciplines in general higher education institutions. It can also serve as a reference for theoretical researchers in research institutions and economic and management personnel in practical departments. At the same time, it inherits the advantages of the previous two editions, focusing on the systematicity, completeness, and scientificity of the discipline in its structure, the connection of interdisciplinary knowledge in its content, and the guidance and operability in methodology. It summarizes our valuable experience in teaching over the years and incorporates our recent new research findings. What differs from the previous two editions is that this book has the following characteristics: , more cutting-edge. The editors have collected new data and materials, conducted extensive updates, to reflect the new developments in international investment; at the same time, they have incorporated new theoretical research findings into the book, allowing students to be exposed to the forefront of international investment theoretical research as much as possible while learning the basic theories. Second, more readable. The editors have not only further enriched the textbook content but also compiled a bilingual glossary of Chinese and English terms in Appendix II for easy learning and memorization; not only have they listed the main reading literature at the end of each chapter but also compiled a large amount of bilingual literature and resources related to international investment at the end of the book as references for learning and research. Third, more teaching utility. To facilitate teaching arrangements, this book lists the key learning points of each chapter in Appendix I and provides two teaching time plans for reference; the exercises and case analyses in each chapter have also been extensively updated, followed by reference answers.
