Features: As an independent science, the emergence and development of political economy have a history of hundreds of years. Due to its scientific, knowledge-based, and ideological functions, it is hailed as the crown of the social sciences. Since the reform and opening-up, Chinese political economy has made significant progress, contributing importantly to enlightening ideas, inheriting civilization, advancing science, and promoting economic reform and development. To reflect the achievements and dynamics of theoretical research in political economy both domestically and internationally, to explore the history and current state of the world economy and China's economic development, to promote exchanges and cooperation among political economy scholars both domestically and internationally, and to further advance the prosperity and development of the discipline of political economy in China, the School of Economics at Renmin University of China and the School of Economics at Nankai University have decided to collaborate with China Renmin University Press to publish the series "Journal of Political Economy." The philosophy of this series is: to respect the fine traditions of political economy while paying great attention to the new developments in modern economics; to focus on the development of fundamental theories while valuing the study of major practical issues; to advocate inclusiveness and hope to seek new mainstreams in political economy through dialogue among different schools and theories; to encourage scientific innovation while upholding rigorous academic standards and pursuing academic norms. It is hoped that the publication of this series will receive the support of academic peers and a broad readership.
