Features: This book has been used in teaching for two years and has been generally well-received, though some shortcomings have also been identified. Taking the opportunity of a second printing, some revisions have been made. The main revisions include the following aspects:
1. To further suit teaching and facilitate reader learning, "Chapter Teaching Objectives and Requirements" have been added at the beginning of each chapter, and "Review Questions" have been added at the end of each chapter.
2. Adjustments to the logical structure of the book's content. The first four chapters form the foundation of the entire book. Chapter 1 discusses the concepts, content, and basic principles of purchasing, procurement management, and inventory control. Chapters 2, 3, and 4 address three key issues in procurement management: procurement management teams, purchase requests and demand analysis, and supplier selection and management. These are important issues that all subsequent purchasing methods must encounter. The following chapters discuss various purchasing methods and techniques, with the most important being order-point purchasing, followed by MRP purchasing, JIT purchasing, tender purchasing, and supply chain purchasing.
3. One revision has been made to academic viewpoints: In Chapter 5, the original version stated that the quantitative order method is suitable for Class C materials and the periodic order method is suitable for Class A materials. This revision has been corrected accordingly.
4. Some case studies have been added.
