Dream Journal -- Erqiao. A Doctor's Paintings and Words

Author: (Wei Erqiao)
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2002-04-01
Features: Perhaps due to some aspect of my personality, I have few friends. Or rather, few people are willing to be friends with me. On a daily basis, I often appear solitary. Frequently, I'm alone, thinking about things that have no connection to reality, creating another world in my mind—a small, personal space where I spend each day indulging in this self-constructed, enclosed world, unaware of it. This scenario is quite similar to sleepwalking, and the paintings included in this book are the experiences, thoughts, and feelings encountered by a doctor named Wei during his "sleepwalking." Thus, the title of the book is titled Notes from a Sleepwalker.
In the duty room, the heater was "sizzling" with steam. That usually timid person could breathe peacefully tonight, calmly thinking about things that had no connection to reality; calmly watching a black cat rush through the street covered in fallen leaves; calmly lying on the soft bed in the duty room, silently talking to my unseen friend in my heart. That feeling was like just finishing a shower, wearing clean clothes, and walking on a clean street.
