This series is organized by the Editorial Department of Primary and Secondary School Subject Olympiads and is a research outcome of the Beijing Step-by-Step Quality Education Research Institute. Since its publication by the Olympic Press, it has stood out uniquely and is deeply loved by teachers, parents, and students. After significant revisions, re-editions, or complete rewrites, it has been renamed as "Gold Medal Olympiad" and "Gold Medal School" series, and is now re-published and distributed by Jinghua Publishing House. At this re-publication, sincere gratitude is extended to millions of readers across the country. Primary and Secondary School Subject Olympiads (briefly referred to as Subject Olympiads) are the most extensive, widely participated, and influential subject competition activities for primary and secondary school students in China. Subject Olympiads are inspired by and derived from the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), the International Physics Olympiad (IPHO), the International Chemistry Olympiad (ICHO), and other internationally influential middle school subject competitions that attract millions of young students every year. The reason for such attention lies in the strong creativity, flexibility, comprehensiveness of Olympiads, as well as their focus on cultivating students' exploration skills and inspiring innovative thinking—qualities that are precisely at the core of quality education. This is also the need for future development. Based on years of careful research on this activity both domestically and internationally, as well as a large number of outstanding books in this category, the Editorial Department of Primary and Secondary School Subject Olympiads has invited outstanding educators dedicated to this field from all over the country to write and publish a series of books on mathematics, Chinese, English, physics, chemistry, biology, and information technology—comprising over 200 varieties. In terms of the variety, quantity, and quality of our Olympiad books, they are the most influential among peers both domestically and internationally and hold the greatest charm in the hearts of primary and secondary school teachers and students. The purpose and characteristics of the "Gold Medal Olympiad" and "Gold Medal School" series are as follows:
