Features: Among primary and secondary school students in China, many enjoy mathematics, and some with a solid foundation in math particularly hope to further develop their skills in this subject they love. MOE (Mathematical Olympiads) provides a stage for these students to showcase their mathematical talents. By stepping beyond the traditional framework of purely problem-solving, it more significantly reflects the thinking, openness, and creativity inherent in mathematics, embodying the principles of quality education. As a result, it has gained increasing attention from mathematics teachers and parents. Many parents have incorporated MOE into their children's extracurricular learning, and it has indeed yielded positive outcomes. The National Junior High School Mathematics League, the National Junior High School Mathematics Competition, and the "Hope Cup" National Mathematics Invitational are the three most prestigious mathematics competitions at the junior high school level. In recent years, these competitions have placed greater emphasis on popularization and the application of mathematical knowledge, with questions becoming more aligned with classroom education, focusing on developing students' thinking and enhancing their abilities. For students who love mathematics and enjoy delving into it, with personal effort and proper guidance, it is entirely possible to achieve good results in these competitions. The compilers have collected past papers from these three competitions, along with those from the Shanghai Junior High School Mathematics Competition and selected provincial and municipal competitions, categorized them, and provided detailed solutions. Systematically organizing these questions makes it easier for students to study independently. Through analysis and comparison during the problem-solving process, students can more readily identify patterns in similar problems. It is hoped that when using this book, students will not rush to look at the solutions but first engage in serious independent thinking. After attempting to solve the problems, they should then compare their approaches with those in the book. This will further enhance their ability to "learn effectively."
