Features: Founded in 1904, Huanggang High School in Hubei Province was designated as a key high school in Hubei in 1953 and was awarded the title of "Advanced Unit in the National Education System" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in National Spiritual Civilization Construction." Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "people-centered, virtue-based education" and has developed a distinctive approach to nurturing students with "comprehensive strengths." It has pioneered a teaching style characterized by "seeking truth, precision, uniqueness, and innovation." The outstanding performance in college entrance exams and competitions is a natural outcome of its long-term implementation of quality education, and only one aspect of its abundant teaching achievements.
When it comes to cultivating students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What is its ability to turn sand into a tower? What is its skill in transforming ordinary into extraordinary? These are questions I often hear. To think that Huanggang High School merely follows the of college entrance exams and passively engages in test-taking is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate rote memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies in its ability to fully grasp the intent of test-setters and deeply understand the underlying principles, positioning itself as a leader rather than a blind follower.
Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers immersing themselves in a sea of problems but strongly advocates that students break free from it. It opposes students doing mechanical, simple, repetitive, and tedious exercises but requires them to complete necessary ones. We encourage students to tackle diverse and widely applicable problems, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop skills, and enhance their qualities through the problem-solving process.
If Huanggang High School has any other successes, it is that while nurturing and shaping a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged its teaching staff, cultivating renowned teachers who enjoy high prestige in Hubei Province. These teachers possess profound scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic flair, and remarkable teaching achievements.
To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School's teaching staff and share their teaching results, we have organized and carefully planned the writing of three series: Huanggang High School Homework Books, Huanggang High School Exam Papers, and Huanggang High School 2006 College Entrance Exam Training Series (First and Second Rounds). The Huanggang High School 2006 College Entrance Exam Training Series (First and Second Rounds) adopts a "full simulation" format to highlight its features. Whether in open-ended or conventional problem types, the quantity and difficulty of the questions are designed to closely align with the college entrance exams, emphasizing innovation and practicality.
Targeting the different time periods and characteristics of the first, second, and third rounds of the college entrance exams, we have categorized the first-round training questions as unit exercises, the second-round questions as thematic exercises, and the third-round questions as simulated tests. This allows for a comprehensive, progressive approach to addressing the challenges students face during their three-round review process.
Part of the content of this series is derived from internal teaching materials and exchanges with friendly schools, while the other part consists of newly updated materials based on recent changes in college entrance exam questions. This series is now compiled and published for the first time, making it publicly available.
This series also reflects the following writing philosophy and features:
1. Appropriate Exercise Placement: Based on the progression of time, the exercises are arranged to reinforce and enhance the knowledge points, exam topics, and methods. The difficulty and comprehensiveness of the questions gradually increase, moving closer to the college entrance exams.
2. Detailed Solution Hints: The answers at the end of the book are well-balanced, with detailed explanations provided for difficult questions. The insightful hints scattered throughout the series often serve as the "dragon's head" that illuminates the key to solving problems.
This series emphasizes the originality and quality of the questions written by the authors, with rigorous review and proofreading at every stage. Our goal is to create a unique and outstanding product in the educational supplement market.
