Features: The complex and scattered knowledge points in the subject are like scattered pearls, which need to be strung together with a "red thread" and then woven into a fabric—this is the combined learning method of "point-line-surface." When studying the three main subjects in secondary school—mathematics, physics, and chemistry—it is particularly important to emphasize the integration and connection of knowledge. Given that many secondary school students lack the ability to summarize, generalize, and find the "red thread," we have especially compiled this series of books to provide students with a "red thread" that connects the past and the future. This series is synchronized with the newly promulgated curricula for full-time compulsory education in all subjects by the Ministry of Education of China, adhering to the new concepts and requirements of the "Curriculum Standards." It condenses and extracts the essence of secondary school mathematics and physics textbooks. The explanations are profound and thorough, permeating learning methods and teaching students how to gather knowledge from "points" into "surfaces." The authors of this series are all distinguished and senior teachers from key secondary schools in Beijing and well-known educational institutions. The unique advantages of this series are as follows:
1. The framework arrangement and word selection standards of the series are closely aligned with the newly promulgated "Curriculum Standards for General High School Education" by the Ministry of Education of China, incorporating all mandatory and elective modules stipulated by the new curriculum standards. It covers the content of all newly developed textbooks based on the new curriculum standards, paying special attention to including different annotations on the same knowledge points from various versions of new textbooks for reference.
2. The scope of entries is quite extensive. The series not only includes all knowledge points in the new curriculum standards but also references teaching syllabi still used in some provinces and cities, including content that has been removed by the new curriculum standards to broaden students' knowledge horizons. Additionally, the knowledge system has been appropriately expanded based on the difficulty of high school examination questions and the knowledge involved.
3. The compilers have fully emphasized the "curriculum objectives" of knowledge and skills, processes and methods, and attitudes and values in the new curriculum standards. In the structural design and arrangement of the knowledge framework, they have fully referred to the "content standards." Given the higher requirements of the new curriculum standards for practical activities, the compilation process places greater emphasis on fostering students' subjectivity in learning, encouraging independent exploration and cooperative communication, and cultivating their inquiry skills. When constructing knowledge modules, the compilers have not only focused on the internal connections and scientific nature of knowledge systems within the subject but also strengthened their links with daily life, technological applications, and other subjects.
4. The compilers are all distinguished and senior teachers from key secondary schools in Beijing and well-known educational institutions, such as Renmin University, Beijing Normal University Second High School, Beijing No. 101 High School, Huiwen High School, Beijing Hai-dian Teacher Training School, and the Xicheng Education Research Center. They possess rich first-hand teaching experience and experience in setting high school examination questions, are at the forefront of educational reform, and fully grasp the new trends of educational reform.
5. The series adopts various forms of charts, images, and other layouts, not being limited to purely textual explanations.
6. To facilitate students in learning and referencing according to the teaching schedule, the table of contents is designed based on the knowledge system and follows the order of the new curriculum standards and new textbooks. An index with Pinyin is provided at the back of the book. This book is divided into three parts—mathematics, physics, and chemistry—arranging knowledge points in the form of entries. Content marked with an asterisk () exceeds the requirements of the new curriculum standards and is provided for reference for students with surplus learning capacity. The series is primarily aimed at full-time secondary school students but can also be used as a reference for secondary school teachers and young people with equivalent academic backgrounds.
