Features: The 10th edition of the "Comprehensive Review Guide for Adult College Entrance Examinations" is revised based on the 9th edition, according to the newly promulgated "Comprehensive Review and Examination Syllabus for Adult College Entrance Examinations (Senior High School Starting from High School Entrance Examination to Undergraduate and Junior College)" by the Ministry of Education in 2004. Since its publication in 1986, this series has been well-received by a broad readership and has played a significant role in the review and preparation of adult college entrance examination candidates nationwide. Over the past decade, with the development of adult higher education in China and the changing learning needs of readers, especially the revisions of the "Comprehensive Review and Examination Syllabus for Adult College Entrance Examinations," this series has undergone nine comprehensive revisions. Through continuous refinement, the overall quality of the series has improved, with a more scientific and rational structure, making it a core textbook for adult college entrance examination candidates and enjoying a strong reputation nationwide. The newly revised and published 10th edition, aligned with the requirements of the updated syllabus, features the following:
1. Closely aligned with the syllabus, rich in content, accurate in description, and highlights key points. It focuses on reviewing basic knowledge and training skills, with question types and exercises closely reflecting the actual exam, demonstrating strong practicality and targeting.
2. The selection and arrangement of content are more suitable for adult learning characteristics; it emphasizes the absorption of new knowledge and achievements, giving the series a stronger sense of timeliness.
3. The design of question types and the narrative style are refined to shift from knowledge-based learning to ability-based learning. While emphasizing basic subject skills, it also focuses on improving candidates' comprehensive knowledge application and exam-taking abilities. The systematic structure is further optimized to suit adult learning characteristics.
4. While covering the key points of the new syllabus, the text has been appropriately condensed to make the series more concise and practical.
The main revisions for the "Mathematics" (Science, Engineering, Agriculture, and Medicine) edition are as follows:
1. Added properties of inequalities: |a+b| ≤ |a| + |b| (a, b ∈ R), and the derivative formulas for sine and cosine functions.
2. Removed topics such as the trigonometric form of complex numbers and related content, translation of coordinate axes, arithmetic operations of function limits, the lateral and surface area calculations of cylinders, cones, and prisms and pyramids in polyhedra.
