Features: This book includes two parts: theoretical courses and experimental courses. The theoretical course is divided into general theory and specific theory. The general theory focuses on modern research on the theory of TCM properties, factors affecting the pharmacological effects of TCM, and other fundamental theories and knowledge. It introduces the characteristics of TCM pharmacological effects, the pharmacology of TCM compound preparations, and research approaches in TCM pharmacology. The specific theory is classified according to the traditional categorization of TCM, including an overview and commonly used herbs. It focuses on introducing the pharmacological effects related to the efficacy of various types of TCM, the main chemical components, pharmacological effects, modern applications, and adverse reactions of commonly used single herbs. At the end of each chapter in the specific theory, there are sections on preparations and usage, primarily selected from the Pharmacopoeia (2000 Edition) and relevant to modern applications. Through classroom lectures, students can become familiar with the modern scientific connotations of the basic theories and knowledge of TCM; master the pharmacological effects and modern applications related to the efficacy and indications of commonly used TCM; understand the mechanisms and material basis of TCM pharmacological effects; and gain insights into the achievements and current status of TCM pharmacology research. The experimental course verifies some basic theories of TCM and the pharmacological effects of TCM. Through experimental teaching, students can initially master several pharmacological experimental methods related to the efficacy of TCM.
