Features: The 10th edition of the "Comprehensive Review Series for Adult College Entrance Examinations" is revised based on the 9th edition, according to the newly promulgated "Comprehensive Review and Examination Syllabus for Adult College Entrance Examinations (Senior High School Entrance to Undergraduate/College)" by the Ministry of Education in 2004. Since its publication in 1986, this series has been well-received by a broad readership and has played a significant role in the preparation of adult college entrance examination candidates. Over the past decade, with the development of adult higher education in China and the changing learning needs of readers, especially due to several revisions of the examination syllabus, this series has undergone nine comprehensive revisions. Through continuous refinement, the overall quality of the series has improved, with a more scientific and rational structure, making it a core textbook for adult college entrance examination candidates and enjoying a strong reputation nationwide.
The newly revised 10th edition, aligned with the requirements of the updated syllabus, features the following characteristics:
1. Closely aligned with the syllabus, the content is detailed, accurate, and highlights key points. It emphasizes foundational knowledge review and skill training, with question types and exercises closely reflecting the actual exam, demonstrating strong practicality and targeting.
2. The selection and arrangement of content are more suitable for adult learning characteristics; it actively incorporates new knowledge and achievements, giving the series a stronger sense of timeliness.
3. The design of question types and narrative style focuses on the shift from knowledge-based learning to ability-based learning. While emphasizing basic subject skills, it also improves candidates' ability to comprehensively apply knowledge and enhance exam performance. The systematic structure is further refined to better suit adult learning needs.
4. While covering the key points of the new syllabus, the text has been appropriately condensed to make the series more concise and practical.
The "Physics Volume" (10th edition) includes six parts: Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism, Optics, Atomic Physics, and Physics Experiments, comprising a total of 18 chapters. In the "Content Summary" section of each chapter, the basic content to be reviewed is briefly introduced, and the problem-solving approach and general steps are outlined for key topics. Examples include both fundamental and comprehensive problems, progressing from easy to difficult. The book contains over 300 exercises, with most being basic problems and some moderately challenging comprehensive problems. To enhance problem-solving skills, each chapter includes "Solving Guidance," listing the most basic formulas and highlighting key considerations for solving problems, serving as a guide to correct solutions.
Based on the 9th edition, this book has been revised in line with the syllabus, with adjustments to content depth and difficulty. The coverage of thermodynamics has been reduced, while the mass-energy equation, mass defect, and micrometer calipers have been added. Additionally, some examples and exercises have been condensed.
